Sheldrick Wildlife Trust x Nimble
We’re often asked why we chose an elephant as the Nimble logo. Elephants are known for their loyalty, intelligence, and sense of community. With this in mind, our pledge to customers and a healthier planet is represented by the Nimble Elephant. She is the spirit of our brand.
But mostly…we just love elephants. Which makes supporting the well-being of orphaned baby elephants a no-brainer.
Today, we’re thrilled to announce our official partnership with Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (SWT). In helping to promote SWT’s mission, we aim to boost contributions and volunteerism, while donating a percentage of our entire 2022 sales.
Established 45 years ago, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is best known for its Orphan’s Project, the first and most successful elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. However, SWT does much more than that.
As the human population expands, wildlife is being pushed to the brink of extinction, and wild habitats to the edge of destruction. The only hope for a better future for both wildlife and mankind is to reverse the effects of the past, and prevent the effects of the present.
SWT exists to protect Africa’s wildlife and to preserve habitats for the future of all wild species. Its projects include anti-poaching, safeguarding the natural environment, enhancing community awareness, addressing animal welfare issues, providing veterinary assistance to animals in need, rescuing and hand rearing elephant and rhino orhans, along with other species that can ultimately enjoy a quality of life in the wild when grown.
The long term goal of SWT is to secure vast tracts of land and create safe havens for wildlife through the management and protection of key ecosystems and wilderness areas in Kenya.
Based in Nairobu, Kenya, SWT’s field headquarters borders Tsavo East National Park. It’s a separately registered charity in the UK and is directly supported by Sheldrick Wildlife Trust USA, a registered 501(c)(3) in the United States.
